PLAY AND MONOLOGUE RESOURCES
New Dramatists is an amazing playwright organization. You can browse all member playwrights’ plays in person in NYC, and you can find out about all of their member playwrights online.
Colin’s movie monologue page is awesome.
Shakespeare monologue website. This site has all of the monologues and soliloquies. You can read the speeches to find the characters you connect to, then go on and read the plays.
Doollee.com lists the plays and first-produced dates of thousands of writers; an invaluable resource for finding lesser-known plays by writers you like. Available plays are linked directly to online bookstores.
